Transfer WhatsApp from Samsung to Huawei

Method 1: With Google Drive Backup

Since both devices are running Android OS, Google Drive makes the solution to transfer WhatsApp messages from Samsung to Huawei. There are however some requirements that you must meet to use this process. These include the following;
  • You must have installed Google Play Services and Google drive on both devices.
  • You must have a Google account.
  • Your Google Drive must have adequate storage space to store the WhatsApp backup.
Having met these requirements, follow these simple steps to transfer WhatsApp from Samsung to Huawei with Google Drive Backup;
Step 1: On your Samsung device, open WhatsApp and then tap Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Backup to create a backup of the messages on Google Drive.

Step 2: Now on the Huawei device, sign in to the same Google account used to create the backup.
Step 3: Install WhatsApp on the device and proceed to set up the App. Once you have verified the phone number, WhatsApp will detect the Google Drive backup and prompt you to restore the backup.
Step 4: Tap on “Restore” and the process will begin. When it is complete, tap on “Next” to see the chats on the Huawei device

Method 2: With Local Backup

WhatsApp will also often backup your chats on the device’s SD card. You can use this local backup to transfer WhatsApp data from the Samsung to the Huawei device. Here’s how to do it;
Step 1: Begin by backing up WhatsApp messages on the Samsung device. To do that, open WhatsApp and tap on Menu > Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Back Up. Click on “Backup to Google Drive” and select 'Never' to stop the google drive backup. The WhatsApp will soon be backed up to local SD card.Also Read: rarbg proxy

Step 2: On the Huawei device, install a file manager app and go to the folder “WhatsApp/Databases”.
Step 3: Rename the backup file named msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt12 to msgstore.db.crypt12.
